WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
There's nothing funny about death. But the funeral can be hysterical. Depending on your point of view.
In Las Vegas Little Theatre's newest production, A Good Man, Funeral Director Martin Lamb is trying to send off poor Mr. Porteus with some semblance of dignity. But Lamb's son seems embarrassed to follow in his father's footsteps. To complicate matters, there's the deceased's grieving family: One son who is a salesman of "adult novelties," and his flirtatious wife; another son that is a drug-addled black sheep; and a devoted and devious daughter. To make matters worse, the air conditioning goes on the fritz, and the only available repairman is having frequent conversations with the corpse!
This rip-roaring farce by Frederick Stroppel is the second show in LVLT's brand new theatre, and promises to keep audiences "stiff" with laughter. Carl Butto directs.
