Robert Harling's 1987 play, based on his memories of his mother and sister, focuses on six warm, witty, and strong women, whose lives intersect in the beauty parlor of a small Louisiana town. Alternately hilarious and touching, the characters talk, gossip, and needle each other through the best of times... and cry, comfort, and repair each other through the worst. Steel Magnolias is directed by JayC Stoddard.
