WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The play that reinvigorated Henry Fonda's career, Mister Roberts was first on Broadway and then became the film that sent Jack Lemmon's career skyrocketing. To the cargo ship's company, the Skipper is a cantankerous, small-minded man and every one of them conspires against him as the ship pursued its runs from Apathy to Tedium and back again.
