Broadway Bound and Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy are proud to present the theater production of Little Women. Based on Louisa May Alcott's classic 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, the musical is centered on the four March sisters-- brassy, aspiring writer Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth. Along with their beloved Marmee, they live in Concord, MA while the family patriarch is away serving as a Union Army chaplain during the Civil War. The story takes place over the course of a few years and primarily focuses on Jo March and her desire to become a famous writer and keep her family together during times of great struggle. The girls all try to achieve their dreams and goals in life, but eventually their futures are quite different from what they initially imagined. Little Women is full of sword fights and soaring ballads, which the talented young cast brings to life.
