Insurgo Theater Movement to Open at the Plaza Hotel and Casino

Insurgo Theater Movement is set to open at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in a new 75-seat theater on the third floor.

The company will relocate to the newly renovated space at the casino as of September 1, with the gala opening of Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett. The opening of the Insurgo Theater Movement at the Plaza will mark the first time a local repertory theater has been offered a residency to produce full seasons of shows at a major hotel-casino in Las Vegas.

Insurgo is a collective of national and international theater artists, including members of Cirque Du Soleil, graduates of the Moscow Art Theatre and the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater, and others. It is a 36-member repertory company with a dedicated 13 member acting ensemble that trains weekly with specialists in different theatrical disciplines.
