Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On to Be Released on DVD and Blu-ray October 4

Image Entertainment will release Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On on DVD and Blu-ray on October 4.

The 70-minute show played Las Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and features some of Midler’s colorful and classic stage characters. The song list includes “Big Noise from Winnetka,” “The Showgirl Must Go On,” “Friends,” “The Rose,” “Do You Wanna Dance,” “From a Distance,” “Boolya JaDa,” “Hello in There,” “Pretty Legs/Hot in Here,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” and “Wind Beneath My Wings.”

Midler starred on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof and has appeared on the Great White Way in numerous other productions. She won a special Tony Award in 1974. She is also a producer of the current Broadway musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

She is also a three-time Grammy Award winner and two-time Academy Award nominee. In addition, Midler starred in the CBS-TV version of the musical Gypsy.
