The Las Vegas production of Monty Python’s Spamalot will close at the Grail Theatre at the Wynn Hotel on July 13. At the time of its closing, it will have played over 500 performances.

As on Broadway, the show is directed by Mike Nichols, with choreography by Casey Nicholaw. The show has a book by Eric Idle, based on the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and a score by Idle and John DuPrez.

The show’s creative team also includes Tim Hatley (sets and costumes), Hugh Vanstone (lighting), and Acme Sound Partners (sound). The Broadway production opened in March 2005, and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

In Wynn-related news, singer, comedian, impressionist and actor Danny Gans will bring his unique one-man show to the new Encore resort at Wynn Las Vegas in February 2009.
