Spider-Baby the Musical to Play Las Vegas, Toronto, Los Angeles

Enrique Acosta, Brent Simms, and Lorient Patton’s Spider Baby the Musical will play a two-week engagement at the Onyx Theatre in Las Vegas beginning June 4. The production will then tour to the International Toronto Fringe Festival and Los Angeles. The production is co-directed by Enrique Acosta and Helen Acosta.

The hard rock musical, based on Jack Hill’s movie of the same name and featuring a score by Enrique Acosta and Simms and lyrics by Patton, focuses on the Merrye family who all suffer from the same degenerative mental disorder that causes them to lose their impulse control. When some distant relatives want to sell their land, the Merryes take extreme measures to stay together.

The company features Cristofer Sanders (Peter), Lindsey Ahern (Shlocker), Teryl Brouillette (Ann), Sarah Phillips (Elizabeth), Katie Aquino (Virginia), Tanya Wilkins (Emily), and Jose L. Hernandez (Ralph).
