Elton John’s The Red Piano to Close in Las Vegas in April

Elton John’s Las Vegas show, The Red Piano, will play its final performance at the Colosseum Teater at Caesars Palace on April 22, according to The Associated Press.

John, who shares the room with Bette Midler and Cher, will have played nearly 250 shows at the time of closing. No replacement has been named.

John is currently represented on Broadway by his scores for Billy Elliot and The Lion King. He also wrote the score for Lestat. One of the world’s most successful singer-songwriters, his many hits include “Your Song,” “Daniel,” “Benny and the Jets,” “Philadelphia Freedom,” and “Crocodile Rock.”
