Written but never performed by Hughes, Ask Your Mama: Twelve Moods for Jazz includes live music, poetry performed through spoken-word performances, and imagery video. The poems will be read aloud with live jazz accompaniment featuring The Ron McCurdy Quartet and video images of the Harlem Renaissance by African-American artists and photographers.
