The Chicago Dramatists host a weekly reading series for resident and network playwrights. The staged readings take place every Saturday: MARCH SCHEDULE 3/20 Self-Producing Discussion with renowned panelists about the trials and tribulations of mounthing your own theater work. 3/27 They All Fall Down The day after the disappearance of JFK, Jr.'s plane, a couple's discussion of the uncertain fate of the missing leads them to a new territory in their own relationship. APRIL SCHEDULE 4/3 A Steady Rain During a routine domestic disturbance call, two Chicago cops return a panic-stricken Vietnamese boy to a man claiming to be the boy's uncle. 4/10 Just One of Those Things In this romantic comedy, a young woman traveling by train to her wedding is delayed in an isolated, rural train station and encounters a movie-obsessed janitor. 4/17 Ex Orient Lux As the Depression deepens in the West, a young idealist leads his pregnant wife to the promised land of the Soviet Union to help build an egalitarian society. His wife is the first to see the flaws... 4/24 The Theater School of DePaul University The school's actors and directors stage readings of short plays and scenes.
