WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Classic Hollywood figures come into conflict with classic Shakespearean characters on a 1930's movie set. Max Reinhardt is on the verge of directing the Warner Brothers' movie version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" complete with a cast of James Cagney, Joe E. Brown, Dick Powell, and Mickey Rooney. It's a can't miss prospect! Problems arise when the "real" Oberon and Puck are magically transported onto the set and cast as themselves in the movie.
