(© Joseph Marzullo/Retna) | Broadway veterans Kristy Cates and Janet Carroll will headline Unbeatable: A Bold New Musical, which will play Houston's Stages Repertory Theatre's Yeager Theatre, September 3-28, and then transfer to New York City's New World Stages on October 7. It will be directed and choreographed by Michael Barnard.
The show is loosely based on the story of breast cancer survivor Laurie Frey, who conceived the work. It features a book by Eric Coble, lyrics by Kevin Fisher, and music by Todd Schroeder.The cast also features Walter Belcher, John Ashley Brown, Kathy Conry, Charity Dawson, Natalie Ellis, Dion Johnson, Cassie Goldberg, and Brian Runbeck. Cates starred in the Broadway and national tour productions of Wicked. Carroll was last seen on Broadway in Little Women.
