Steve Blanchard, Austin Miller, Loretta Swit, et al. to Star in 42nd Street in Houston, Virginia, and Atlanta

Full casting has been announced for the musical 42nd Street, to play Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars’ Miller Outdoor Theatre, July 9-14, the Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center in Virginia, July 17-19, and the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, July 28-August 2. Norb Joerder will direct and choreograph the production.

Set on Broadway during the Great Depression, the musical is the classic backstage tale of aspiring actress and small-town girl, Peggy Sawyer, who finds love and success on the Great White Way.

The show will star Loretta Swit as Dorothy Brock, Steve Blanchard as Julian Marsh, Austin Miller as Billy Lawlor, and Shannon M O’Bryan as Peggy Sawyer, Tony Lawson as Pat Denning, Denise Nolin as Maggie Jones, James Young as Bert Barry, David Titus as Abner Dillon, and Sarah Strimel as Anytime Annie.

The ensemble will feature Robert J. Abdoo, Andrew Black, Adam Brozowski, Jason Michael Butler, Abby Church, Veronica Diperna, Lisa Guignard, Sarah Marie Hicks, Rashaan James II, Kolina Janneck, Scott Leiendecker, Christian Mansfield, Janelle Neal, Candice Pennefather, Tripp Pettigrew, Chuck Rea, Ariel Reid, Krista Saab, Geo Seery, Samantha Shafer, Stephanie Van Duynhoven, and Correy West.

The creative team includes John Visser (music direction), James Fouchard (sets), Roger Kirk (costumes), Paul Miller (lighting), and Megan Henninger (sound).
