A story of journeys (over land and over the course of a lifetime), The Trip to Bountiful tells the story of Carrie Watts (played by Dee Maaske), an elderly woman who makes a pilgrimage from Houston to her hometown of Bountiful, Texas. There she discovers, amidst the ruin and decay of time's passage, the satisfaction of a life well-lived and a renewed connection to her past. Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson directs this 50th Anniversary production.
