WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein favorite features such unforgettable songs as "Maria," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen," "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi" and "Climb Every Mountain." Based on a true story, The Sound of Music follows the life of a convent novice, Maria Von Trapp, who is sent as governess for captain's family and inspires them to seek joy in life through music.
