When the Chavez family farm is lost in the Great Depression, they head west in search of migrant farm work. In the fields, in school and in town, young Cesario sees injustice - and grows into a courageous leader who fights against it. The true story of Chavez's life inspires hope and demonstrates how each of us can make a difference in the world.
