WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Saints and sinners with both applaud God's Man in Texas, an irrevernt new comedy-drama about institutional power struggles, fathers and sons, and religion in the age of mass marketing. Wits, egos and ideologies are set on a collision course when church deacons bring in Jerry Mears to audition for the helm of the Rock Baptist Church in Houston. The aging pastor of the mega-church won't easily give up his dynasty...or the televised Sunday morning service.
