WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
God of Carnage is the story of two seemingly courteous and civilized couples who meet after their boys' fist-fight in a neighborhood schoolyard. Michael and Veronica, whose son's teeth were knocked out with a stick, invite Alan and Annette, whose son did the knocking, to their home to settle stuff. Civility crumbles. Grown-ups behave badly as these parents argue about who influenced their sons' misbehavior. Carnage erupts with finger-pointing, name-calling, stomping and carrying on. And then they break out the liquor. Recommended for mature audiences due to profanity.

Jesting and Jousting
Much funnier than "ART", "Carnage" goes for the jugular. The very thin veneer of civilization is quickly shucked off as antagonists flail about in anger, seeking to wound with a verbal barb - or whatever else is within reach -hopefully a net and trident. Sight gags abound, and build, until simply savoring the ruins of the living room is wonderful in itself. The cast is superb, especially Denis Arndt as an amoral lawyer, and Bhama Roget as his cool blond wife. Amy Thone plays a liberal do-gooder and Hans Altwies her accommodating husband, but marital loyalty can?t hold up to this whirlwind of shifting allegiances. A rare comic gem, with despite all the acrimony, a wonderul feeling of light-hearted fun. Dont miss it!
