Alley Theatre Actress Bettye Fitzpatrick Dies at 79

Bettye Fitzpatrick, who was a member of Houston’s Alley Theatre for 53 years, has died at the age of 79.

During her tenure at the Alley, Fitzpatrick was a stage manager, production manager, director of interns, and a member of the Acting Company, who appeared in numerous productions including A Christmas Carol, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Cyrano de Bergerac, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Steel Magnolias.

She also performed at Alan Ayckbourn’s Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, England, at Christ Church Cathedral , and Theatre Under the Stars.
