Rita Rudner, Tommy Tune, et al. Set for Galeveston’s Grand 1894 Opera House 2009-2010 Season

The Grand 1894 Opera House, in Galveston, Texas, has announced programming for its 2009-2010 season.

Theatrical highlights will include Pat Hazell’s solo show The Wonder Bread Years (October 24), Cirque Shanghai-Bai Xi (November 7-8), Camelot (November 15), Rita Rudner (November 21), Ken Ludwig’s Leading Ladies (February 19), The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess (March 6), Hairspray (March 13), Neil Berg’s 101 Years of Broadway (March 20), and Tommy Tune & the Manhattan Rhythm Kings in Steps in Time (May 1).

Acts will also include Smokey Robinson, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Cherryholmes, Jerry Jeff Walker, Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, Ballet Folklorico de Mexico, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Music of Sam Cooke: The Cooke Booke, Riders in the Sky, TAO “The Martial Art of Drumming”, Rob Landes and the Rob Landes Trio, and Asleep at the Wheel with Ray Benson.
