Josie de Guzman to Star in Alley Theatre’s The Seagull

Two-time Tony nominee and Alley Theatre favorite Josie de Guzman will star as Irina Arkadina in the Alley’s production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, to perform on the Neuhaus Stage, February 3-March 4, with an opening on February 8.

The play focuses on the romantic entanglements of a group of actors, writers and artists gathered on a Russian estate.

The cast will also include Jeffrey Bean as Peter Sorin, James Belcher as Shamreyev, James Black as Boris Trigorin, Karl Glusman as Konstantin, David Gorena as Yakov, Chris Hutchison as Simon Medvedenko, Kimberly King as Paulina, Erica Lutz as Nina, Kalob Martinez as Cook, Rachael Sara Tice as Masha, and Todd Waite as Eugene Dorn. In addition, Ellen Dyer and Rebekah Stevens will play housemaids.

The production will feature scenic design by Kevin Rigdon, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Pat Collins, music composition and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen, and hair and wig design by David H. Lawrence.
