WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Trip to Bountiful by Horton Foote, is a moving and heartfelt tale of a woman in her golden years yearning for the home of her youth. Mrs. Carrie Watts is spending the twilight of her life suffocating in her son Ludie's tiny apartment in Houston with her quarrelsome daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae. Mrs. Watts plots her escape from this stifling environment by running away to her idyllic childhood home, Bountiful, Texas. Dee Maaske and Hallie Foote star.
