Before Janis Joplin, Tina Turner or Queen Latifah, there was "The Empress of the Blues," Bessie Smith. Set on the last day of her life, the legendary singer reigns again in this new "Bluesical" featuring a three-piece Blues ensemble and such classic songs as "St. Louis Blues," "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" and "Gimme a Pigfoot." R&B diva Miche Braden stars as Bessie Smith in the show, The Devil's Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith.
