Joe Calarco, Mike Donahue, Jerry Dixon, Sheryl Kaller to Direct at 2012 National Music Theater Conference

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center has announced the directors and musical directors for the previously announce pieces that will be developed and presented at the 2012 National Music Theater Conference, which will run June 20-July 13.

Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller will direct Dan Collins and Julianne Wick Davis’ When We Met, which will feature musical direction by Matt Castle.


Sarah Hammond and Adam Gwon’s String will be directed by Mike Donahue, with musical direction by Ray Fellman, while A Good Man by Philip S. Goodman and Ray Leslee will feature direction by Jerry Dixon and musical direction by William Foster McDaniel.


Helen Hayes Award winner Joe Calarco will direct Bryan Putnam’s The Toymaker, which will have musical direction by David Libby.

During the course of the conference, each work will undergo the O’Neill’s signature development process, employing acclaimed professional actors, directors, and music directors in an intensive series of rehearsals, discussions, and public readings.
