Something’s Afoot Added to 2012 Season at Goodspeed Opera House

Goodspeed Musicals has added Something’s Afoot to its 2012 season. Directed by Casey Hushion, the production will run October 5 – December 9 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT.

With book, music and lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach (and additional music by Ed Linderman), the show is a musical whodunit set in an old English mansion, where during a raging thunderstorm, ten strangers begin to vanish, one by one. Casting and creative team will be announced in the near future.

As previously announced, the season will open Mame, starring Louise Pitre in the title role. Ray Roderick will direct the production, which will have choreography by Vince Pesce.

The Goodspeed season will also include a new production of Rodgers and Hamemrstein’s Carousel, directed by Rob Ruggiero and choreographed by Parker Esse, at the company’s home in East Haddam, as well as the previously reported production of The Great American Mousical, which will be directed by Julie Andrews at the Goodspeed’s Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT.
