WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Hope arrives in the Hamptons on September 11 with HopeStock: Music to Bailout Your Soul at the John Drew Theater (Guild Hall) in East Hampton. Presented by Nona Hendryx and Spirit Sings, HopeStock is an ongoing concert series that features an impressive array of both emerging and established artists who come together to inspire audiences with the power of music. In these times of economic uncertainty, music continues to be an inspiring antidote, offering a reservoir of hope, and nurturing the human spirit. From singer-songwriter Mary McBride (a favorite among locals in East Hampton) to Reuben Butchart (who completed a residency at Watermill Center), from UK-based Bobby Long to award winning Native American/soul artist Martha Redbone, HopeStock reflects a spectrum of performers as diverse as the farming, fishing, and arts community of East Hampton. In the tradition of performing greats who've graced the recently renovated John Drew Theater stage, HopeStock promises an unforgettable evening of music, hope, and harmony.
