With Musical Director Matt Baker. Cole Rumbough and Molly Ryan return to Guild Hall with a musical journey around the world through the melodies and lyrics of the great American composers of the 20th century, such as Cole Porter, Sammy Cahn & Jimmy Van Heusen, Frank Loesser, and Johnny Burke. Rumbough's first conception of this show was in collaboration with local Hamptons jazz musicians Peter Martin Weiss and Jane Hastay for a performance at the Bridgehampton Historical Society as part of their Art of Song concert series in 2013. Coincidentally, last year Molly Ryan released her fourth solo album, Let's Fly Away, celebrating the same concept as a musical journey around the world. For their second concert together at Guild Hall, Cole and Molly realized, what better way is there to celebrate their friendship (and perfect blendship!) than by combining their mutual love for music and travel in one extravaganza?
Live on stage, the one and only Broadway legend Chita Rivera performs in a unique solo concert event. The incomparable Tony Award winner will recreate signature moments from her legendary career, including numbers from West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Bye, Bye, Birdie, The Rink and The Visit. In addition to a special tribute to her dear friends John Kander & Fred Ebb, the timeless music of Leonard Bernstein, Charles Strouse, Jerry Herman and Stephen Sondheim will also be featured, with live trio accompaniment.
Lucie Arnaz has had an extremely diversified career spanning over 50 years in show business. I Do!, Educating Rita, Vanities, and Mack And Mabel, to name just a few.
Join Broadway couple Jarrod Spector (Jersey Boys, Beautiful: The Carol King Musical) and Kelli Barrett (Dr. Zhivago) for an evening of duets inspired by their time spent with writing hall-of-famers Alan and Marilyn Bergman. The depth of the Bergman's song catalogue paired with their lasting love sent the newlyweds on a quest to figure out the couple's secret for success. This led to an exploration of music's greatest married collaborators (from Sonny & Cher to Beyonce & Jay-Z) through the hits we all know and love. What emerged is a show that combines killer music, personal anecdotes, stories of the artists, and abundant self-effacing humor as the two attempt to answer the burgeoning question faced by every couple…how do you keep the music playing?
