WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

With Special Guest Jeff Harnar. Guild Hall patrons may well remember the opening night of the first Cabaret Convention, when Barbara Carroll and Jeff Harnar closed the show with an impromptu performance of "I Fall in Love Too Easil." The number brought down the house and planted the seed of inspiration for this musical paring of this acclaimed jazz pianist-vocalist and award winning Cabaret vocalist. The duo will perform classics from the American Popular Songbook, blending their unique and distinct performance styles. Barbara Carroll has long been regarded as one of the most fascinating purveyors of swinging jazz piano and rhythmic, expressive vocals, whether she is rendering composition by Harold Arlen or Cole Porter or Thelonious Monk. Jeff Harnar, accompanied by his musical director, Alex Rybeck, will perform selections from The 1959 Broadway Songbook, Sammy Cahn All the Way and Cole Porter:Easy to Love. Appropriate For Ages: 14 and up
