Rufus Wainwright, Kylie Minogue to Perform at Watermill Benefit Concert

Rufus Wainwright will headline an outdoor benefit concert for The Watermill Center, in Water Mill, New York, on Saturday, August 28 at 4:30pm. He will be joined by special guest Kylie Minogue.

The concert will also include DJ Rachel Chandler who will spin for the guests in between sets.

The Watermill Center is a laboratory for performance founded by Robert Wilson.
Proceeds from the benefit will support Watermill’s Fall and Spring Residency Program that provides young and emerging artists who embrace avant-garde, multidisciplinary approaches with space and time to explore and further develop their work.

Wainwright will be performing All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu and presenting the American premiere of his opera Prima Donna this month at the Luminato, Toronto Festival of Arts and Creativity. He has released a series of acclaimed albums, including Poses, Release the Stars, and Rufus Does Judy At Carnegie Hall. He has also
appeared at New York City’s Lincoln Center as part of the American Songbook series.
