Wally Dunn, Emily Skinner, Eric Jordan Young, et al. to Appear at Ithaca’s Hangar Theatre

Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, New York has announced its 2009 season

Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner will star in Claudia Shear’s Dirty Blonde (June 3-13). Peter Flynn, the company’s artistic director, will direct the play about the legendary actress Mae West, whose wit and audacity made her America’s first sex symbol. The cast will also include Joe Kinosian and Kevin Carolan.

That show will be followed by productions of the musical Once On This Island (June 18-July 4), David Mamet’s comedy November, starring Wally Dunn (July 8-18), and Harold Pinter’s Betrayal (July 22-August 2).

Up next, Devanand Janki will direct and choreograph a brand-new production of Jonathan Larson’s award-winning musical Rent (August 6-22). The cast will include Jared Zarilli (Roger), Adam Hose (Mark), Eric Jordan Young (Tom), Catherine Stephani (Maureen, and Maria-Christine Oliveras (Joanne).
