Audra McDonald to Appear as Part of Savannah’s SMF Live Series

Four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will perform on November 9 as part of the Savannah Music Festival’s new SMF LIVE series, to take place in Savannah,Georgia.
The series will also include appearances by Terrance Simien & Zydeco Experience (October 22), pianist Leif Ove Andsnes (February 13), Wynton Marsalis with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (March 1), and French soprano Sandrine Piau (April 23).
The 2012 Savannah Music Festival, which will run March 22 through April 7, will feature more than 100 productions in intimate venues throughout Savannah’s historic district. Artists schedule to appear include Afrocubism, the Takacs Quartet with Menahem Pressler, Bela Fleck & the Original Flecktones, Joshua Redman/Brad Mehldau Duo, Daniel Hope, Paco de Lucia, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra with pianist Yefim Bronfman. The complete schedule will be announced in early November.
