Synopsis
Art! Romance! Legacy! Passion! The Pulitzer Prize winning musical from the masters of musical theatre Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. Sunday in the Park with George is the fictional account of the impressionist painter George Seurat and his journey to create the masterpiece painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte", and his distant relative, a modern day writer suffering from artistic paralysis. The New York Times theatre critic, Frank Rich, wrote: "I do know... that Mr. Sondheim and Mr. Lapine have created an audacious, haunting and, in its own intensely personal way, touching work."
