Reach Dance Company is a Dance Theater Collective dedicated to preserving the roots of jazz while pushing it to evolve. A commitment to truthful story telling through the language of movement and music is a driving force that utilizes the dancers strength, emotion and sensuality at the core of every step, piece and performance. Reach was founded by Maria Konrad as a workshop project in 2005. After an overwhelming response to her choreography and unique use of music, the company was founded in 2006. Its repertoire pays homage to jazz, modern, ballet, funk and ethnic dance. Its dancers are as diverse as its repertoire, coming from many different dance worlds--ballet, modern, post modern, jazz, commercial and ethnic. They have one common trait--Passion.
