In Central Florida, the Orlando Repertory Theatre has coordinated the first Target Family Theatre Festival (July 12-22). For the kids in the south of the Sunshine State, the Kravis Center has My Little Pony LIVE! The World's Biggest Tea Party (July 13-15) and the Broward Center hosts France's Coatimundi Puppet Theater for four very special performances of Hats Off to the Sea (July 20-21), an interactive puppet adventure that tells the story of Seraphin, who takes a trip across the sea, fights a dragon, discovers a mermaid's secret, and finally achieves his heart's desire.

If you're looking for something to take the tots to, there's Go, Diego, Go LIVE! The Great Jaguar Rescue at The Broward Center (June 29-July 1) and Oz, presented by The Orlando Shakespeare Theater in partnership with the University of Central Florida (June 19-July 29), in which author L. Frank Baum is writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz while his housekeeper and a girl named Dot get swept up in his magical tale. Lastly, there's Got No Strings at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood (June 2-August 12), an exhibition that documents a puppeteer's creative process from conception through construction and production. A special performance of Peter Rabbit will be presented on June 2 to help celebrate the opening.
Florida Kids Spotlight: May '07

For family entertainment, there's plenty to choose from. People Fair Productions presents Disney's extremely popular High School Musical at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (May 3-5). At the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, choose from either Franklin's Class Concert (May 5) or Hans Christian Andersen's The Steadfast Tin Soldier, adapted and directed by Vyatcheslav Dolgachev from a translation by Aleksandr Kheyfets (May 5-6). Finally, Theatreworks USA presents the lively musical Junie B. Jones on May 6 at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
