Ricky J. Martinez to Direct Anna in the Tropics at James Madison University's Forbes Center

James Madison University and The Forbes Center for the Performing Arts will present Nilo Cruz's Anna in the Tropics, to be helmed by guest director Ricky J. Martinez, artistic director of South Florida's New Theatre. The production will run October 30-November 2.

Anna in the Tropics is a Pulitzer Prize winning play which was commissioned and premiered at New Theatre in 2002. It is centered on a family of cigar rollers whose lives are changed by the power of literature.

The cast will feature James Madison University students.
