Bethesda Theatre Announces 2009 Season

The Bethesda Theatre has announced the production schedule for their 2009 season, which will open with My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish, and I’m Still in Therapy, January 15-February 7, Steve Solomon’s sequel to his original point of view about family and life. From across the pond, London’s playful classical string trio, pluck, will present pluck – The Titanic, February 12-March 7, their tribute to the Titanic musicians who played on until the end. New York’s longest-running musical comedy revue, Forbidden Broadway will also come to the Bethesda Theatre stage this season, March 12-April 5.

Menopause The Musical will follow, April 14-May 2, about four women who come together at a Bloomingdale’s lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra and, “the change.” Mike Dugan will take aim at the modern male psyche with Men Fake Foreplay, May 27-June 7, and the season will close with 3 Blonde Moms, June 17-June 28, a comedy about being a housewife.
