2009 Helen Hayes Awards winner Natascia Diaz will present a musical performance at the 2009 Adventure Theatre Gala, on October 30. Billed as "The Playdate of the Season," the evening will begin in Historic Glen Echo Park with a Pre-Gala reception at 7 pm in the Cuddle Up, followed by a Buffet Dinner in the Bumper Car Pavilion.

Wendy Rieger of NBC Washington News4 will emcee the event, with Bob Levey presiding over a unique Fund-A-Need auction. The company will also honor Catherine Leggett with its Spirit of Adventure Award at the gala.

Adventure Theatre, founded in 1951, is the longest-running theater program for children and families in the Washington metropolitan area. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the company's education and outreach programs in the Washington D.C. metro area.
