Lisa Joyce and Jerry Whiddon to Star in Studio Theatre’s Blackbird

Lisa Joyce and Jerry Whiddon star in The Studio Theatre’s production of David Harrower’s Blackbird, to run December 3-21. David Muse will direct.

The play concerns the awkward reunion of Ray (Whiddon) and Una (Joyce), who meet unexpectedly 15 years after the end of their passionate affair. Blackbird won the 2007 Olivier Award for Best Play.

Joyce’s prior credits include the Off-Broadway productions of Beast and Red Light Winter, and the national tour of Doubt. Whiddon is the former artistic director of Roundhouse Theatre, and his acting credits include leading roles in Uncle Vanya, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and The Misanthrope.
