Nick Jonas and Jordin Sparks will serve as co-chairs for the National Youth Leadership Committee of the Ronald Reagan Centennial Celebration, which will honor the 100th birthday of America’s 40th President.

The committee is comprised of 38 young athletes, entertainers, and student leaders who have been inspired in a personal way by President Reagan. They will participate in many of the Reagan Centennial activities sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation throughout 2011.

Jonas recently played the part of Marius in the West End production of Les Miserables, and will reprise that role for the one-night-only 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables, to be held at London’s O2 arena on October 3. He is best known as a member of the boy band, The Jonas Brothers.

Sparks will take over the role of Nina Rosario in the Broadway production of In the Heights beginning August 19. She was the youngest contestant to ever win American Idol. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2007 on 19 Recordings/Jive Records and went on to sell over 1.6 million copies worldwide.
