Katie deBuys, Eric Hissom, Cody Nickell, et al. Set for Woolly Mammoth’s In the Next Room

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company has announced casting for Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room or the vibrator play, to run August 23-September 19. Aaron Posner will direct the production.

The play focuses on a physician at the dawn of the electrical age, who utilizes a new medical device developed to pacify “hysterical” women to shockingly different ends.

The company will feature Katie deBuys (Catherine Givings), Eric Hissom (Dr. Givings), Sarah Marshall (Annie), Kimberly Gilbert (Sabrina Daldry), James Konicek (Mr. Daldry), Jessica Frances Dukes (Elizabeth), and Cody Nickell (Leo Irving).

The creative team will include Daniel Conway (scenic design), Helen Q. Huang (costume design), Colin K. Bills (lighting design), and James Sugg (sound design).
