Broadway veteran Thomas G. Waites will replace Edward Gero in the role of Donny in The Studio Theatre’s revival of David Mamet’s American Buffalo, beginning with the June 29 performance. The production has extended another time, and will now close on July 11.

Mamet’s dark comic play focuses on three small time crooks, who fancy themselves businessmen pursuing legitimate free enterprise.

Joy Zinoman has directed the production, which will continue to co-star Peter Allas (Teach) and Jimmy Davis (Bobby).

The creative team includes Russell Metheny (set), Michael Giannitti (lighting), Helen Q. Huang (costumes), and Gil Thompson (sound).
