A production of Harold Pinter’s Old Times will replace the previously announced revival of Luigi Pirandello’s Enrico IV in the Shakespeare Theatre‘s 2010-2011 season. The change is due to scheduling conflicts for Patrick Page, who was scheduled to star in Enrico IV. Michael Kahn will direct the Pinter play, to run May 17 – July 3.

Helen Hayes Award winner Holly Twyford will star in Old Times, which focuses on three old friends who are variously recalling their relationship from twenty years prior. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Twyford won the Hayes Award for her performance in Douglas Carter Beane’s The Little Dog Laughed. Among her other credits are Orestes A Tragic Romp, The Tempest, The Odd Couple, and Lost in Yonkers.

As previously reported, the Shakespeare Theatre’s 2010-2011 season will also include Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well (September 7-October 24), a new production of Candide (November 30-January 2), Cymbeline (January 18-March 6), The Merchant of Venice (March 8-April 12), and An Ideal Husband (June 21-July 24).
