Savion Glover, Patti LaBelle, Mandy Patinkin, Stephen Sondheim, et al. Set for Strathmore’s 2010-2011 Season

Strathmore has announced its 2010-2011 season schedule.

Among the highlights of the season will be Sunday at Strathmore with Stephen Sondheim, hosted by theater critic Peter Marks (November 14). The event will be part of Strathmore’s Great American Song series, which will also include a performance by Liz Callaway and Ann Hampton Callaway of their show Boom (October 8); a concert from Helen Hayes Award winner Julia Nixon (January 16); and an appearance by Mandy Patinkin, who will perform his Dress Casual concert (June 9-10).

Other offerings at Strathmore in the coming year will include Jake Ehrenreich’s A Jew Grows in Brooklyn (September 26), a engagement featuring the Peking Acrobats (March 3), and Oregon’s Imago Theatre, which will present its new show ZooZoo (March 27).

Dance presentations at Strathmore will onclude The Tango Fire Company of Buenos Aires’ Tango Inferno (January 25) and Tony Award winner Savion Glover, who will perform SoLo IN TIME (February 16).

Strathmore will also present a Tribute to the British Invasion concert (August 11-12); Bang on a can All-Stars Celebrate Steve Reich (November 11); An Evening with Kris Kristofferson (November 13); as well as concerts featuring Patti LaBelle (February 5) and Johnny Mathis (April 16).
