Shakespeare Theatre Company to Offer May 3 NT Live Broadcast of The Habit of Art

The Shakespeare Theatre Company will present the NT Live broadcast of Alan Bennett’s The Habit of Art at 7pm on Monday, May 3 in its Lansburgh Theatre.

The play examines the stormy relationship between Benjamin Britten and WH Auden, imagining a meeting between the former friends, 25 years after they last saw each other.

The production is directed by Nicholas Hytner, and is designed by Bob Crowley, with lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Paul Groothuis. The company features Frances de la Tour, Richard Griffiths, John Heffernan, Alex Jennings, Elliot Levey, Adrian Scarborough, and Stephen Wight.
