Paul Scott Goodman to Perform Son of a Stand Up Comedian at MetroStage

Paul Scott Goodman will be performing his musical show Son of a Stand Up Comedian, at MetroStage, April 15-May 9. Michael Baron will direct.

Featuring music and lyrics by Goodman and a book is by Goodman and wife Miriam Gordon, the show is the story of an artist’s struggle to live and survive as a writer, performer, lover and, ultimately, a father in the searing hot summer of Manhattan 1988.

Goodman and Gordon previously collaborated on ROOMS, which was nominated for five Helen Hayes Awards, including Outstanding Musical and Outstanding New Play or Musical, and three Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Off Broadway Musical and Best Score. Goodman’s musicals also include the adaptation of Bright Lights, Big City.
