Bebe Neuwirth to Perform Stories With Piano for CSC Benefit

Two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth will perform her cabaret act, Stories with Piano, as a benefit for Classic Stage Company on Monday, June 8 at Twenty-Four Fifth. The evening will include a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner, and a live auction with actor Denis O’Hare.

She will perform such songs as John Kander and Fred Ebb’s “Ring Them Bells,” Irving Berlin’s “It Only Happens When I Dance with You,” Stephen Sondheim’s “Another Hundred People,” and Kurt Weill’s “How Much I Love You.”

Neuwirth won Tonys for her performances in Chicago and Sweet Charity, and her many other Broadway credits include Funny Girl, Fosse, Damn Yankees, and A Chorus Line. Her film credits include Jumanji, Summer of Sam, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Faculty, and Woody Allen’s Celebrity. She is perhaps best known for her role as Dr. Lilith Sternin in the television series Cheers, for which she won two Emmy Awards.
