Ford’s Theatre has canceled the Wednesday, February 10, at 7:30pm and Thursday, February 11, at 11am performances of The Rivalry, due to the snowy weather. The play will continue through February 14, including a just-added performance at 7:30pm on Sunday, February 14.

The show follows the fiery rhetoric and wry humor of the debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas over state’s rights, slavery and the intent of the Constitution, while adding the insights of Douglas’s wife, Adele. Robert Parsons stars as Abraham Lincoln, Helen Hayes Award winner Rick Foucheux plays Douglas, and Sarah Zimmerman plays Adele.

Patrons have the option of exchanging their tickets into another performance of The Rivalry or Little Shop of Horrors. Patrons who are unable to exchange may donate the value of their tickets to Ford’s Theatre or request a refund. Contact your point of purchase to make an exchange. All exchanges and refunds must be requested by February 13. If necessary, the decision to cancel the February 11 evening performance will be made no later than 2 p.m. Thursday.
