Tracie Thoms, Lypsinka to Perform at Studio Theatre Gala

Tracie Thoms and Lypsinka will provide the entertainment for The Studio Theatre’s annual gala, A Night of a Thousand Joys, to be held on Saturday, February 6 beginning at 6:30pm.

The evening will honor founding artistic director Joy Zinoman, who will retire at the end of August. Proceeds from the gala will go to support the theater’s artistic, educational, and community service programs.

Thoms played the role of Joanne in the film version of Rent and co-stars on the CBS-TV series Cold Case. She earned a Helen Hayes nomination for Studio Theatre’s production of Hair in 1998. Lypsinka, a.k.a. John Epperson, has written and performed in shows such as The Passion of the Crawford and Lypsinka! The Boxed Set.
