Shades Of War is inspired by the true story of Samuel Fraunces, a Haitian immigrant who sacrificed for the American Revolution. He served as a private in the army and his daughter, Phoebe saved George Washington's life in an unexpected way. Shades Of War takes you back in time to 18th Century New York with rich characters and period costumes. It recently debuted Off-Broadway in the heart of Manhattan's theater district.
